The Horizon Model 704 is a loop powered, 24 VDC liquid level transmitter based on the revolutionary Guided Wave Radar (GWR) technology. The Model 704 is designed for use with Coaxial Probe model 7XA and Twin Rod Probe model 7XB. This transmitter is available in a single compartment housing and is designed to provide measurement performance beyond that of traditional technologies such as RF and DP transmitters.
Measurement Principle:
Guided Wave Radar is based upon the principle of TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry). Pulses of electromagnetic energy are transmitted down a probe. The pulse is reflected when it contacts a liquid surface.
